TED. A British designer by the name of Suzanne Lee created a new “fabric” from fermented yeast and microbes. She combines bacteria, yeast and sweetened green tea (or sweetened water) and leaves it to ferment for two to three weeks. These final products resemble human skin, how amazing is that?

Think of the possibilities!

Unfortunately, I can’t find any TED videos about her talk but you can read about it here at Wired. Or you can go to her blog and follow her on twitter!

She created these after being inspired by African scarifications.
