Emil Ruder (1914-1970) was a Swiss typographer and designer who helped and/or with (depending on which source you read) Amin Hofman founded the Schule für Gestaltung Basel (Basel School of Design). He also founded the International Center for the Typographic Arts in New York in 1962. Ruder played a key role in graphic design in the 1940’s and the 50’s.

I love his clean, clear, concise and crisp works.
