I recently watched this delightful claymation movie called Mary & Max. The story was superb and I don’t use the word superb often. Well written, beautifully animated, what more could I say? I watched it twice and it made me cry each time. I was a sniveling idiot by the time the movie ended.

It’s a story about a chubby 8 year old girl named Mary who lives in Australia. A lonely girl, who has no friends, picks a name and address out of a New York phone book and thus starts a friendship that spans two continents and two decades. I should warn you, it’s not for kids. But it is not too childish, the story is very adult.

This movie moved me. Be careful, you might end up like me, a sniveling crybaby by the end. This is my new favorite movie.
